How We Help...
Strengthening the community by empowering individuals
Free one-to-one tutoring for adults in:
• Reading,Writing and Math
• English as a Second
Language (ESL)
• GED Preparation
• Basic Computer Literacy
• Work Place Exam Preparation
In return for our free services our students give back while learning workplace readiness skills in our bookstore and cafe! Our store is a practical setting for students who want to speak English, develop customer service skills and experience the real world of work often during a tutoring session! No other non-profit agency in the area provides direct practical experience for its students in a safe and supportive atmosphere. This is a unique and vital service provided by LVCC for its students and the community. We have had many students go on to jobs they never would have qualified for without this experience. We want to help more individuals. Your support will help us to continue to develop and broaden it. Please consider a donation in any amount to LVCC! See link below. Many thanks and we hope to see you for a visit soon!
